The Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the hills of Tirumala at Tirupati city in Andhra Pradesh. The temple is also known by other names like Tirumala temple, Tirupati temple and Tirupati Balaji Temple. This temple is one of the Pancha Kshetram where Maha Lakshmi was born as Bhargavi - the daughter of Bhrigu Maharshi and is one of the eight Vishnu Swayambhu Kshetras. It is located on the Tirumala hills which are a part of Seshachalam hills range and has seven hills. This is why the temple is often referred to as the Temple of Seven Hills. The presiding deity, Venkateswara, in this temple is in a standing posture facing east.

 

SriKalahasti is a town in Tirupati district which is a popular spiritual centre with the temple of lord Shiva. It is one of the most famous Shiva temples and is one of the Pancha Bhoota linga temples. The deity is worshiped as Srikalahasteeswara and is a swayambhu lingam. Srikalahasti is located on the banks of the Suvarnamukhi and is called Dakshina Kashi.
